Profit Calculator
Estimate profit per order after the main costs of a product business.
How to calculate e-commerce profit
Start with selling price
Enter the amount you expect to receive for one order. Your actual profit depends on how much of that value remains after costs and returned orders.
Include direct order costs
Product cost, packaging and shipping are direct costs connected with fulfilling an order and should be included in the calculation.
Include advertising and payment costs
Advertising cost per order and COD or payment fees reduce the amount left from a sale. Including them gives a more realistic per-order estimate.
Account for RTO
RTO means return to origin. The calculator applies the entered RTO percentage to expected revenue and RTO cost, while the payment fee is applied only to delivered orders.
Understand the result
The result is an estimate of profit per order and an estimated profit margin. Actual courier, marketplace, payment, advertising and return charges can vary.
Frequently asked questions
What does an e-commerce profit calculator calculate?
It estimates profit per order after the costs included in the calculator, such as product, packaging, shipping, payment, advertising, RTO and platform fees.
Does RTO affect e-commerce profit?
Yes. A higher RTO rate can reduce expected revenue and add return-related costs, which lowers expected profit.
Is the calculator result exact?
No. It is an estimate based on the values entered. Actual business costs can vary by courier, marketplace, payment provider, advertising campaign and order outcome.
